Geek/Anime everyday (in my case) Fashion #1

I've been thinking about recording my random fashion on the WWW. I mostly only wear T-shirts, mainly male T-shirts as they are generally cheaper than female ones, and as I wear tons of them the cheaper the better!

Today's Pokémon adventure outfit was:

Starting from top to bottom

Earrings: Pokéball earring that I made myself. Found the pattern on pinterest. It's a brickstitch pattern using 11/0 miyuki delicas (if you were curious). 

Necklaces + Choker: a "thin" plether choker from primark, a forest spirit fimo charm my cousin made for me (link to her facebook, she takes requests, however, she's based in the Netherland/Holland). Last, my beacon to attract other Poké adventures my Go Plus. 

   

 T-shirt: A Princess Mononoke t-shirt I got from Teepublic. There are a ton of awesome T-shirt designs on Teepublic. 

Skirt and Panthyhose/Tights: They are both from Msmode. The skirt is pretty old, so it's no longer available. The pantyhose is my favorite 40 denier. 

Sneakers: Puma Ignite Evoknit, I couldn't find a link to mine, but found some other variants on Zalando. 

Phone Ring: No Face from Sprited Away under an umbrela, I couldnt remember which seller on Aliexpress I bought it from, so I choose to link a random one. 

Also, I caught an Entei today!!! So far I've caught 3 and battled 5.

Review: Pokémon Go Plus (2017

Hi!

Intro

So, I recently got a Pokémon Go Plus!^^ I luckily had a gift card so I only paid €25,- for it at Game Mania (original price is €40,-). Initially, I was gonna buy one second-hand (or new) from Amazon/eBay/Marktplaats (I even considered AliExpress) but after reading a post on Reddit about counterfeit Go Plus, I decided to just buy it from Game Mania. As I was sure Game Mania sells the authentic Go Plus and I'll also have a 1-2 years guarantee. 

Review

Spinning Stops/Gyms

The plus does a decent job at spinning stops and gyms if you are walking. However, it does prioritize Pokémon over stops/gyms in my opinion. But, if you only want to collect items I think you can disable the option in setting (I haven't tried it yet).

My bag is always full now though so I hope Niantic will either expand or have a sale on expansions for 3rd Gen!

Catching Pokémon

The Go plus has been super handy for catching  Pokémon and collecting Stardust! I don't mind the one Pokémonball chance to catch, as I'm mostly only catching them for Stardust or for mass evolution for XP. If I'm playing in an area known for good spawns or with a friend I tend to not use the Go Plus as much for catching, then I use it for stops and non-rare Pokémon. Running out of regular Pokéballs sometimes is a bit annoying, but not a major setback. 

Hatching Eggs

Very helpful but with a major drawback. At first, I could only hatch eggs if I constantly had my phone in hand and ensured my phone was awake and  Pokémon Go was open. But now it doesn't matter and I can hatch eggs by biking/cycling!!! Which personally I think is the best part, as I bike quite a lot these days. However, not being able to know if you've hatched an egg while using the Plus is my only complaint (so far).

Possible Improvement

I've (currently) only got one improvement I would really like to see.

Automatic incubation!!!

The only drawback of using the Go Plus for hatching Eggs is that you don't know when an egg has hatched (as far as I know), especially if you are just walking around and push the button whenever the Go Plus vibrates. So, I hope that in the future Niantic will add the option for automatic incubation when using the Pokémon Go Plus (or just walking with your phone) and a selection of which eggs you want to incubate automatically (only 2k, only 5k, only 10, only 2k and 5k, etc...)

Summer Obsession: Pokémon Go #1

Pokémon GO - Summer 2017

This year I had a very difficult time at university, and all I can say is Pokémon Go provided the perfect distraction from my (student) life.

I was super excited to play more in the summer because finally there was some decent weather! I live in the Netherlands so good weather is truly a blessing.

Thus, my adventure started on July 22, the day of the infamous Chicago PokéFest, a friend and I went to a park nearby to catch Pokémon. There were lures everywhere people playing, some people wondering why the hell there were so many people around. Wasn't Pokémon Go the hype of last year? people are still playing?


For which my answer is "It's gotta catch 'em all! not some" kudos to tumble for the quote!.


However truthfully, as someone who wasn't at the fest, it wasn't really exciting. I had hoped they would increase rare spawns around the world or something extra so that we (the people not at the fest) would feel more included in a way. Also catching as many Pokémon in 30 min? was actually nothing super excited to tell you the truth.

However, as the fest was a hot mess we got all the rewards, the double candies, reduced time on hatching and double experience was amazing! Hope they bring that back from time to time.

And then came the Legendary Birds and Lugia!!!

Best thing ever! Articuno is my FAVORITE Pokémon, so you can clearly guess which team I picked! #TeamMysitc.

However, Lugia was the first Legendary I battled and caught! I was so nervous, my hands were sweating (I'm too invested in this game). I saw the Lugia nearby my house at a restaurant and I "power walked" over.  There were tons of people walking over, biking, on their scooter, in cars it was a wild time. And of course, you had the people wondering what the hell was going on.  But, I got in a group, we battled, we won and then came the actual challenge catching the legendary. I was very nervous, a guy nearby kept saying "I'm throwing excellent but nothing" at the end he didn't catch it, and there I was throwing crap and I got it! (felt bad for the guy, I hope he got one later on!). After that though struggles! I've battled 11 and caught 3.

The day after I caught my first Articuno!!! I've battled 7 Articuno and caught 4, I really want more of them but I have bad timing with Articuno raids -.-'. Then came Moltres, I caught Moltress on my fourth try! -I want to complain but my friend finally caught hers on her 17th try!-  I've battled 13 Moltres and caught 6. Lastly, I caught Zapdos on my second try, I've battled 10 and caught 4.

Although raiding is a lot of fun it has been difficult...

#1 Gathering/Having enough people to raid, my city uses Whatsapp groups however we are trying to move over to Telegram (there's this Raid bot that makes it easier to organize raids, although I haven't fully figured it out yet). However, I think it has potential, only not a lot of people have telegram or want to download it just for Pokémon Go.

#2 Catching the Pokémon. I still think this is pure luck. I've caught legendaries with an Excellent throw and a golden ras, and I've also caught legendaries with a pinap berry and a bad throw. So truly, who knows?
